We understand the importance of giving back to the communities in which we operate

We currently work with two very different, but equally impactful, bicycle non-profits / charities: Velokhaya and 88Bikes.

Velokhaya Life Cycling Academy

Velokhaya was established as a non-profit organisation in 2004 to develop youth in the township of Khayelitsha, Cape Town through education and sport. Over 200 youths between the ages of 7 - 25 are currently registered for the free-of-charge program. Through the program, youths are not only encouraged to participate in various forms of cycling, including BMX riding, but the Academy also gives them access to a state-of-the-art ICT Centre, library, bicycle mechanic workshop, gymnasium, fully fledged kitchen/feeding scheme and recreational space for after school activities.
We've been involved with Velokhaya since 2019, sponsoring their Road, Elite and BMX team. Initially riding in FXTM colours, the teams switched to Exinity kit in 2022.

88Bikes

The 88bikes Foundation endows bicycles to girls throughout the world, especially the heroic survivors of human trafficking. The highlight of each endowment is the Moment of Happy, when every girl at the ashram or shelter receives her new bike.
88bikes partner with vetted, locally-run NGOs, purchase bicycles from local vendors, hire local labour and connect each survivor one-to-one with her donor. Their volunteers return to lead bike rides, organize repair clinics, even paint murals and lead dressmaking workshops! It's all part of what they call Joy–Based Philanthropy – elevating happiness to a human need.
We began our partnership with 88Bikes in 2023.
